HAND Statement on the Attacks against UNAMID Forces in Darfur


Member organisations of the Human Rights and Advocacy Network for Democracy (HAND) strongly condemn the targeted killing of three Rwandan soldiers attached to the United Nations/African Union Hybrid operation in Darfur (UNAMID). The soldiers were ambushed without warning on Monday, 21st June 2010. A fourth soldier was injured and currently in critical condition receiving medical treatment in Nyala hospital in Southern Darfur State.

Field Violation Report No 10


The Human Rights and Advocacy Network for Democracy (HAND) is deeply concerned about the ongoing campaign of harassment, arrest and torture against students from Darfur. HAND calls on the Government of Sudan to put and immediate end to this campaign.
